The people among them are mostly from Africa and underdeveloped nations. The main issue is how to provide food while population is increasing rapidly and climate is changing speedy due to global warming”

The biggest enemy in human being’s life is hungriness. Scientist is not able to make hunger free nation even though the restless effort they have did in well developed nations. If we talk about the well developed countries rather than under developed country; among 6 people there is 1 person who is suffering hungriness. In November’s third week of 2009 politicians and researchers have given commitment that we will remove the hungriness very soon. But, they didn’t given any specific timeline. But the organization for food and agriculture which is Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has urged to these countries to make a goal to completely remove hungriness by 2025.

Figure showing that 20 per cent of people have been suffered hungriness in the year 2009 in all over the world. The desirable is to reduce 10 percent till 2015. But, according to the U.N Organization Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) this target is impossible to achieve. Not only will this but situation become very worst in coming days. World population will become 9.1 billion by 2050 and other one of the main cause is global warming. The way global warming is increasing it will impact very badly unto the agriculture sector and the production will automatically decrease and which will bring several such problems.

The Consultative Group on International Agriculture Research (CGIAR) a research laboratory for food and agriculture which issuing money to the underdeveloped nations to grow in agricultural sector denoted that there will be a need of $16.4 billion instead of $5.1 billion. And the scientists of CGIAR have given argument of above statement that if this much of money will be given to food and agricultural sector than the production will become double. But, which is impossible to achieve due to global warming.

Is there any solution available to overcome from such a big problem??

Here there are a few thoughts which if implemented correctly then we will overcome from such a big problem. Firstly, there should be given a priority to save water. According to UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) there an increase needed in below sprinkle water area up to 11 per cent. Although, due to climate change there are several lakes and rivers become dry in the world. Secondly, there should be a research in the area of seed which will be more fruitful and have more immunity this should be of qualities like it can easily grow in less water situation, it can bear more temperature, and it can provide good quality of portioned too. At the last but not the least is give attention to make growth speedy. According to the International Food Policy Research Institute (IEFPRI)’s Mark Rozgrant ‘s calculation if the production growth of African agricultural food can be increased up to 25 per cent only it will provide more food than if the facilities to provide sprinkle water plant double.

Due to air pollution only there are 25 to 30 million child dying every year !!!

Do you know how much dangerous the air pollution, and water pollution is for us? And which are the main cause behind such pollution? Recently the World Health Organization had given a surprising report which is:

“DUE TO POISONOUS AIR AND DIRTY WATER 30 MILLION CHILDREN DYING EVERY YEAR!!!”

In the year 2008, 30 million children died and they are below the age of 5 years only. This is because of the large firms which producing huge quantity of poison into the earth. The poison filled by the firm makes water and air poisonous. Government of different countries in the world knows, the reason behind this is a big chemical firms producing air and water pollution. Even though government of the particular country not take it seriously and put people life in danger.

Such kind of firms will not only polluting a water and air but filling a slow poison into the environment which start showing harmful effects after a few years. Now a day we have such effects which is GLOBAL WARMING, GREENHOUSE EFFECT, CLIMATE CHANGE, ETC. and the effect which I have described into the title. Natural Resources Defence Council have given a list of harmful things for child is, (a) Air Pollution, (b) Insect Killer Drug, (c) Tobacco Smoke, (d) Lead, and (e) Dirt in drinkable water.

According to one assumption due to the race of industrialization there are 75,000 (seventy five thousand!) new chemical has been discovered in last 50 years. And we do not have accurate details about how much these chemicals can impact on environment and human being. Before start using such chemicals into the industries they did not concerned about how much can this chemical will affect to human being and environment. Now a day when scientists research and find out some issues of such chemicals harmful effects on environment and human, industries ignoring it because they are settled. Researchers worrying about children health related problem due to mixing of such poisonous chemical into the environment. In recent 20 years the per cent of ASTHMA in children became 3 times due to such harmful chemicals. The impact of any kind of chemical on child is always more than a well developed human. The reason behind this is (1) Child consumes more food, water and air as compare to elder one and (2) Children’s immunity power is less then elder person.

Do not think that children get affected with such chemical is on roadside, on play ground, or at outside the home. Now a day in our home we are using 62 types of such harmful chemicals in our routine work and there are 150 types of chemicals we can found in modern houses. e.g. when your child is doing painting or drawing the marking pen it is using consists a very harmful chemical xylene. Do parents know about such chemical? If your child suffer headache, or have a problem to take breathe smoothly than one of the reason behind this is xylene. In your kitchen gas stove produce a carbon monoxide which can easily damage your children’s tissues available in blood. In your home if one of the members has a habit to smoke than this habit can implant lung cancer in your child. Sometimes in our home we do painting, the paint colour consists lead (Mixture of graphite with clay in different degrees of hardness) which affect our mind and kidney directly go through breathe. Lead is a poisonous metal.

Such kinds of several chemicals are not only thrown into the air from industries. We people are also a part of such pollution. We need to follow some simple rules in our day to day life like when you are at the traffic signal switch off the engine which will save your petrol, diesel or gas plus saves environment too, minimize the use of vehicles, plant tree and encourage people around you to follow such instructions. You can check more minimizing climate change techniques here...

Begin with me to save environment by putting our effort!
We can make this world clean!!!

Alternative Energy Sources For Homes

by: Dave Roberts

Natural gas and electricity are the two most common providers of heat and light in today’s homes. These two commodities have been around so long it is difficult to imagine a world where they are replaced with an alternative.

So far as we can see, on the scientific horizon at least, they wont be replaced either by some such method as zero point energy, which is energy created by the mechanical oscillations of quantum particles...Sound like science fiction ? Well, so far, yes it is still in the realms of science fiction and if it were possible today, would be hugely expensive to produce. But don’t despair, because In 1989 two chemists, Pons and Flieschman conducted an experiment and claimed to have determined a process of cold fusion. Fusion is a process that happens in the heart of stars, while fission is something that occurs in nuclear reactors. Both very big and at least one, very expensive! Neither a viable option for sole domestic use.

Anyway, Pons and Flieschman rocked the world when they published the results of an experiment they conducted that produced energy, namely heat, at room temperature by using some noble materials and heavy water, through a process of fusion, which generated heat from a sustainable source at room temperature. It wasn´t until the end of April that year when the experiment was conducted by independent bodies, that they were unable to achieve the same claimed results as Dr´s Pons and Flieschman. The process was deemed flawed and the two chemists were discredited and that, by and large, was the end of the matter. The two chemists were, as far as their careers were concerned, finished and they faded into obscurity. Pons and Flieschman committed the cardinal sin of the scientific world by releasing the results to the press first instead of their scientific piers for review. Tut tut tut, off to scientist hell, never to return again!

However, twenty years on, research is still being carried out and there have been some promising results, not just with cold fusion but with hot fusion also. Hot fusion has had more media coverage, probably because it doesn’t attempt to side line conventional physics. Phenomenal heat, Phenomenal pressure, incredible amounts of money and wallah, fusion! Cold fusion on the other hand requires a glass beaker, some deuterium, palladium, heavy water. Now this, I am led to believe, is an atomic reaction and not a chemical reaction and as such may or may not produce a rise in temperature of a few points of a degree over a couple or so weeks, depending on impurities and how it is measured. Non the less, there have been significant advances in researching cold fusion that some serious companies have invested some serious money in its continued research.

Before you clasp your hands in delight at the thought of having a particle colliding, atom smashing, deuterium and palladium guzzling cold/hot fusion reactor at the bottom of the garden, you may want to consider some readily available, non-controversial alternatives to supplying you with electricity.

Wind Turbines
40 of the electricity a household uses in a year.

Costs for installing a solar electricity system vary a lot - an average system costs between £8,000 and £20,000, depending on its size and type. The more electricity the system can generate, the more it costs but the more it could save. Solar tiles cost more than conventional panels, panels built into a roof are more expensive than those that sit on top but, if you need major roof repairs, PV tiles can offset the cost of roof tiles.

Savings can be considerable - around 1.2 tonne of CO2 a year, and around £250 off your electricity bill. A 2.5 kWp system could provide 50% of a household's yearly electricity needs.

Maintenance is generally small - you'll need to keep the panels relatively clean and make sure trees don't begin to overshadow them.

This article has barely scratched the surface of what is available to enable the home owner to produce their own electricity, there are other methods such as Hydrogen fuel cells, Bio fuel for generators, recycled cooking oil for generators...and so on.

However, implementing these technologies is pointless unless your home is adequately insulated first.

By contacting Saving Energy Ltd at http://www.savingenergyuk.co.uk we can ensure your energy supply investment is maximised to it´s fullest potential. It seems like these type of conventions are getting more and longer every month. My opinion is that that these conventions are held so often nowadays because the Global Warming Crisis that we are facing is growing more rapidly than scientists initially anticipated.

What worries me is that at all these conventions, the "clever" people and the "powers-that-be" agree that our needs (and "wants") are outpacing what Mother Earth can provide. They all agree that we must look into initiatives to generated cleaner, greener alternative energy sources. Some of them had ideas of using currents in the ocean, some agree that the wind is the answer and some look at the sun. The truth is that most of them went back home in there energy-thirsty 4-track vehicles, not to ever think of their noble ideas again.

A attend these conventions because I am an engineer in appliances that generatate sustainable alternative energy for big corporations - even in the oil industry. I asked many times, but not once did I get a turn to speak or to air my opinion at a convention. You see, I'm not a scientist, politician, or a chairman of an organization that wants to save the earth - I'm merely a person with an interest in doing what these meetings are called for - that is generating alternative energy.

What these "know-alls-but-do-nothings" do not realize is that alternative energy is not only limited to corporations, but that the small guy, the individual, can also contribute. The challenge is to "school" people and to promote the idea. It is not just about driving hybrid cars, and doing recycling - it is more about our own efforts to "whip" the energy, oil, and manufacturing industry (I'm convinced that many of these conventions are held by them, anyway).

Well, I already decided a few years ago that "charity" begins at home and I started to research small-sized appliances of generating alternative energy - something that any family can afford. My research lead me to the Internet and I was pleasantly surprized that many websites provide resources that teach you how to build your own appliances to generate alternative energy.

However....Since I began with my quest to find an inexpensive solution all those years ago, I've been through literally every emotion imaginable - frustration... anger... jubilation! Eventually, and after a lot of hard work, I did filter out the best resources on the Internet and ever since then I'm generating enough energy to go 'off-grid' - that's right I "whipped" the energy company - they're not getting a dime from me anymore. Now, all of a sudden, I'm also "smart" enough to be invited as guest speaker at conventions and seminars about alternative energy!

See, nowadays, trying to find the resources to make your own energy is difficult because there are so many guides, videos, and websites on the market to choose from and unless you have the time and money to test them out, you're basically going to go round in circles....and potentially lose a lot of money.

Added to my quest to "go green", I'm saving $1000s a year on energy bills! In the last year or two I focussed on small-sized energy saving appliances for the average household. I'm also often asked to do reviews of products and training material about this subject.

I came to realize that "charity" realy starts at home, and that home is Earth. I also believe that we shouldn't look or drill deep down into a hole to find our energy - let's look up - after all the sun has enough sustainable energy to shine on all of us.

Dave Richard
http://www.energy-owner.org/

Global WARMing v/s Ice Age

<img alt="" border="0" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5428004429066638866" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_lTcuBVFNfeA/S1QlRPnDlhI/AAAAAAAAAFY/adxc11BvAOM/s400/article-0-07CF1BA6000005DC-818_468x353.jpg" style="cursor: hand; (U.K.)
10th January 2010

The bitter winter afflicting much of the Northern Hemisphere is only the start of a global trend towards cooler weather that is likely to last for 20 or 30 years, say some of the world’s most eminent climate scientists.

Their predictions – based on an analysis of natural cycles in water temperatures in the Pacific and Atlantic oceans – challenge some of the global warming orthodoxy’s most deeply cherished beliefs, such as the claim that the North Pole will be free of ice in
summer by 2013.

According to the US National Snow and Ice Data Centre in Colorado, Arctic summer sea ice has increased by 409,000 square miles, or 26 per cent, since 2007 – and even the most committed global warming activists do not dispute this.

The scientists’ predictions also undermine the standard climate computer models, which assert that the warming of the Earth since 1900 has been driven solely by man-made greenhouse gas emissions and will continue as long as carbon dioxide levels rise.

They say that their research shows that much of the warming was caused by oceanic cycles when they were in a ‘warm mode’ as opposed to the present ‘cold mode’.

This challenge to the widespread view that the planet is on the brink of an irreversible catastrophe is all the greater because the scientists could never be described as global warming ‘deniers’ or sceptics.

However, both main British political parties continue to insist that the world is facing imminent disaster without drastic cuts in CO2.

Last week, as Britain froze, Climate Change Secretary Ed Miliband maintained in a parliamentary answer that the science of global warming was ‘settled’.

Among the most prominent of the scientists is Professor Mojib Latif, a leading member of the UN’s Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), which has been pushing the issue of man-made global warming on to the international political agenda since it was formed 22 years ago.

Prof Latif, who leads a research team at the renowned Leibniz Institute at Germany’s Kiel University, has developed new methods for measuring ocean temperatures 3,000ft beneath the surface, where the cooling and warming cycles start.

He and his colleagues predicted the new cooling trend in a paper published in 2008 and warned of it again at an IPCC conference in Geneva last September.

Last night he told The Mail on Sunday: ‘A significant share of the warming we saw from 1980 to 2000 and at earlier periods in the 20th Century was due to these cycles – perhaps as much as 50 per cent.

'They have now gone into reverse, so winters like this one will become much more likely. Summers will also probably be cooler, and all this may well last two decades or longer.

‘The extreme retreats that we have seen in glaciers and sea ice will come to a halt. For the time being, global warming has paused, and there may well be some cooling.’

As Europe, Asia and North America froze last week, conventional wisdom insisted that this was merely a ‘blip’ of no long-term significance.

Though record lows were experienced as far south as Cuba, where the daily maximum on beaches normally used for winter bathing was just 4.5C, the BBC assured viewers that the big chill was merely short-term ‘weather’ that had nothing to do with ‘climate’, which was still warming.

The work of Prof Latif and the other scientists refutes that view.

On the one hand, it is true that the current freeze is the product of the ‘Arctic oscillation’ – a weather pattern that sees the development of huge ‘blocking’ areas of high pressure in northern latitudes, driving polar winds far to the south.

Meteorologists say that this is at its strongest for at least 60 years.

As a result, the jetstream – the high-altitude wind that circles the globe from west to east and normally pushes a series of wet but mild Atlantic lows across Britain –
is currently running not over the English Channel but the Strait of Gibraltar.
.
.
.
Like Prof Latif, Prof Tsonis is not a climate change ‘denier’. There is, he said, a measure of additional ‘background’ warming due to human activity and greenhouse gases that runs across the MDO cycles.

‘This isn’t just a blip. We can expect colder winters for quite a while’But he added: ‘I do not believe in catastrophe theories. Man-made warming is balanced by the natural cycles, and I do not trust the computer models which state that if CO2 reaches a particular level then temperatures and sea levels will rise by a given amount.

‘These models cannot be trusted to predict the weather for a week, yet they are running them to give readings for 100 years.’

Prof Tsonis said that when he published his work in the highly respected journal Geophysical Research Letters, he was deluged with ‘hate emails’.

In March 2000, Dr David Viner, then a member of the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit, the body now being investigated over the notorious ‘Warmergate’ leaked emails, said that within a few years snowfall would become ‘a very rare and exciting event’ in Britain, and that ‘children just aren’t going to know what snow is’.

Arctic sea ice is melting quickly

Some scientists now predict an ice-free arctic summertime by 2013. David Karoly a Melbourne University climatologist says that, this may be an overstatement, but that recent allegation accepts apparent the sea-ice retreat is statistically affiliated to greenhouse emissions.

('’)

"It is absolutely acceptable that ancient amid the 2020s and the 2050s or 2060s there will be a September with no Arctic sea ice,"

– David Karoly

Every year aback ice coverage is able-bodied beneath boilerplate it comes aback thinner than before. Less ice means less heat is reflected and more is consumed in the water, which warms more rapidly. In Nature Magazine aftermost May, begin a cutting majority of behavior changes in arctic hemisphere flora and fauna - insects moving to cooler climates, birds shifting their seasonal breeding patterns - were improbable to be made by anything except climate change due to acceleration in greenhouse gas. The abstraction was not a snapshot - it advised about 29,000 abiding abstracts sets.

An additional Nature abstraction appear in January begin for the aboriginal time that best of the Antarctic continent-long the aback aperture in climate change research-was warming, up bisected a amount over the accomplished half-century. Previously there had alone been affirmation the Antarctic Peninsula was heating up. A recent report to mark the International Polar Year assured that ice shelves that contain huge Antarctic glaciers from the sea are weakening.

Perhaps alike added abrupt was a abstraction in the PROCEEDINGS OF THE NATURAL ACADEMY OF SCIENCE OF The United States Of America aftermost 3 to 4 ages ago. It begin that temperature rises due to ascent atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations would be abundantly irreversible for 1000 years, alike if the world gets its act calm and ends greenhouse emissions. This has above action implications; some politicians accept accustomed the abstraction of overshoot-that we will absence what is a safe stabilization point and the cut emissions back, in the action ambiguous aback climate change. The abstraction offers affirmation that this would do little to clasp aback the tide.

Chief executive of Antarctic Climate and Ecosystems Co-operative Research Center in Hobart, Tony Press says that, the amount of modern climate research in the last three years is vast.

“When we open our eyes after the economic crisis and look around us, we will find our predictions of climate change have come forward 10, 25 and 50 years from last time,”

- Tony Press

Matthew England says Greenland is above concern. Land ice is slowly sliding into the ocean. Once it retreats beneath the snowline it will never be recovered. The predicted affect seven-meter acceleration in sea level; this would take centuries, but would be no less striking because of it.

“What would we think of the leaders of the 17th or 18th century if they ignored the best science of the day to proceed with policies that meant today we had to relocate all the cities that were around 200 or 300 year ago?”

- Matthew England

CLIMATE and POPULATION v/s WATER

('’)

Water stress and Water scarcity occur when the need for water exceeds the accessible bulk throughout an assertive aeon or when poor quality bounds its use. A water volume of 1,000 m3 per capita per year is typically more than is required for domestic, industrial and agricultural water uses. Such water-stressed basins are located in northern Africa, the Mediterranean region, the Middle East, the Near East, southern Asia, northern China, Australia, the USA, Maxico, north-eastern Brazil and the west coast of South America. The estimates for the population living in such water-stressed basins range between 1.4 billion and 2.1 billion.

“In water-stressed areas, people and ecosystems are particularly vulnerable to decreasing and more variable precipitation due to climate change.”

The total amount of accessible freshwater supply is falling because of climate change, which has induced drawing back glaciers, reduced stream and river flow, and shrinking lakes. Many aquifers have been over-pumped and are not recharging quickly. Although the total fresh water supply is not used up, much has become polluted, salted, unsuitable or otherwise unavailable for drinking, industry and agriculture.

A country or region is said to experience “water stress” when annual water supply drop below 1,700 m3 per person per year, according to the Falkenmark Water Stress Indicator. At levels between 1,700 and 1,000 m3 per person per year, periodic or limited water shortages can be expected. When water supplies drop below 1,000 m3, the country faces “water scarcity”.

Water appeal already exceeds accumulation in abounding genitalia of the world, which leads to a condition of Peak water actuality accomplished in altered geographic areas. As the world population continues to rise, many more areas are expected to experience this imbalance in the abreast future.

“Agriculture represents 70% of freshwater use worldwide.”

CLIMATE CHANGE

“Climate Change is a change in the statistical distribution of weather over periods of time that range from decades to millions of years.”

It can be a change in the average weather or a change in the distribution of weather events around an average (for example, greater or fewer extreme whether events). CLIMATE CHANGE may be limited to a specific region, or may occur across the whole EARTH. Our climate has been in constant change for at least 1 million years and very likely throughout the 5 billion-year history of the earth (Who have studied the GEOLOGY may know about this). During the last 200,000 years there have been four ice ages. This would imply that every 50,000 years later there should be one ice age.

The beginning of the current Global Warming era started at the zenith of the last ice age, some 13,000 years ago, which leads us to believe we are a little more than halfway through the earth’s current warming cycle of 25,000 years. We’re not sure when the cycle will end. It could be 10 years ago when the current cooling mini-cycle started. More likely it will be several thousand years hence and it could be 12,000 years from now. About 13,000 years ago, at the maximum extent of the ice in this ice age, there were some 2,000 feet of ice in Kansas (A river in northeastern Kansas; flows eastward to become a tributary of the Missouri River). The ice has been mostly retreating ever since and sea levels have risen about 300 feet.

Sea levels may continue to rise, but cannot rise much more because most of the ice has already melted. Check it out yourself by examining your globe. The maximum extent of the ice was something like 38 degrees North and South latitude. Today all that’s left of the ice caps are Greenland (The largest island in the world; lies between the North Atlantic and the Arctic Ocean; a self-governing province of Denmark) and the Antarctic (The region around the south pole: Antarctica and surrounding waters). The current warming trend has not continued uninterrupted. There have been cooling and warming cycles within the overall warming trend. For example, the earth was much warmer 1,000 years ago when the Vikings (Any of the Scandinavian people who raided the coasts of Europe from the 8th to the 11th centuries) were colonizing Greenland, which at that time was really green. Those colonies lasted some 500 years before climate cooling known as the Little Ice Age, around 1750, global warming has resumed and the ice has again been retreating.

Geoscientists know that the reason for the cooling and warming has to do with cycles in the intensity of the sun and not variation in the amount of carbon dioxide in the greenhouse gases. Current research is focused on whether cycles in sun spot activity are an indication of the variation in the sun’s intensity and, therefore; an indication of the earth’s changing temperatures. Sun spot activity has been very low during the last 10 years, during which time the earth has been cooling, not warming. 98% of all energy comes from the sun. The other 2 percent is from the interior of the earth, i.e. volcanism. The trivial influence of all human activities is not significant by comparison. Can we do anything about climate change?? Thank GOD, no!! If we could, there’s no telling what horrendous unintended consequences might result.

Brock of Tulsa (A major city of northeastern Oklahoma on the Arkansas river; once known as the oil capital of the world and still heavily involved in the oil and gas industries) holds a degree in geological engineering and has been studying and practicing geo-engineering for more than 60 years.

What we can do to minimize Climate Change, Global Warming, Greenhouse Effect, etc. problems?

People often get confused about, what they can do to combat global problems and often assume that their individual effort won't have much impact. But remember, most environmental problem have solution only at local level. There a lot of things which people can opt in their day-to-day life to minimize their impact on various environmental processes. Here are some simple steps: -

Reuse Paper, Recycle Paper. Make your habit to save papers as much as you can. This will help to save several trees to be cut down if all the readers will start saving from now…

Store the information which can be stored in digital media and avoid to making hard copies of the information if not needed

If you hike or going for camp in forested area, practice minimum-impact camping.

Minimize your use of scarce fuel, food & water resource. (Fresh water availability in world is just 2.5% & sea water is 97 %).

Do not flush every time you use toilet. Take shorter showers.

Do not let faucet run while brushing your teeth, washing dishes & bathing etc.

Don't buy ivory, tortoise shell, animal skin or other products taken from endangered species

Dispose used motor oil, hazardous waste (like batteries) responsibly.

Turn-off ignition of your car/ bike when stuck in traffic or at signal. (Nor it will save fuel but will also cut emission of CO2, NOx, and Pb).

Join carpool, drive smaller-more efficient cars & reduce speed.

If possible make maximum use of natural light at your home or office.

Turn-off lights, fans, T.V., Computer Monitor when not in use, this can save much electricity

Avoid buying things you don't need or won't use. Ask yourself whether you really need more stuff?

Buy food that come with less packaging & avoid use of polythene.

Plant native especially in your garden. Exotic sp. competes with native sp., spreads parasite/ diseases that threaten ecosystem.

If you eat non-veg., eat lower on food chain to reduce bioaccumulation of harmful chemicals.

Reduce the use of pesticide in your farm/ fields. Pesticide persists in food chain & bio magnify

Never throw any waste product in water always keep habit to store all the waste in dustbin

Dispose CFL lamps/bulb with care as it contains Mercury

Our planet is changing rapidly and this blog is basically for whom who like to discuss the points like global warming, climate change, pollution and population related issues. The sun is the Earth’s primary energy source, a burning star so hot that we can feel its heat from over 150 million kilometers away. Its rays enter our atmosphere and shower upon on our planet. About the third of the solar energy is reflected back into the universe by shimmering glaciers, water and other bright surceases. Two thirds, however, are absorbed by the Earth, thus warming land, oceans, and atmosphere. Much of this heat radiates back out into space, but some of it is stored in the atmosphere. This process is called the greenhouse effect. Without it, the Earth’s average temperature would be a chilling – 18° degrees Celsius, even despite the sun’s constant energy supply. In a world like this, life on Earth would probably have never emerged from the sea. Thanks to the greenhouse effect, however, heat emitted from the Earth is trapped in the atmosphere, providing us with a comfortable average temperature of 14 degrees.
Human activity since the Industrial Revolution has increased the amount of greenhouse gases in the atmosphere, leading to increased radiative forcing from CO2, methane, tropospheric, ozone, CFCs and nitrous oxide. The concentrations of CO2 and methane have increased by 36% and 148% respectively since the mid-1700s.
These levels are much higher than at any time during the last 650,000 years, the period for which reliable data has been extracted from ice cores.
Less direct geological evidence indicates that CO2 values this high were last seen about 20 million years ago. Fossil fuel burning has produced about three-quarters of the increase in CO2 from human activity over the past 20 years. Most of the rest is due to land-use change, particularly deforestation. In what seems like nature’s brutally irony, the gases that make life on Earth possible now threaten our very existence.

GLOBAL WARMING

Everybody now a day’s talking about “CLIMATE CHANGE” and “GLOBAL WARMING”. But, do we know what actually the GLOBAL WARMING is?

Global Warming is defined as the increase of the average temperature on EARTH. As the Earth is getting hotter, disasters like hurricanes, droughts and floods are getting more frequent. In our country or I can say in our town I feeling that; season’s schedule is totally changed. Before 6 to 10 years there was an average level of winter season, at that time we can feel the coldness of the season and enjoy it. But, now a day the temperature is rapidly going to hotter and hotter. In winter season you’ll feel a summer season. What is the cause behind all such kinds of thing? This is because of the Global Warming. Not only is the winter season but all the season is not properly running.

Our planet’s behavior is changing rapidly. Over the last 100 years, the average temperature of the air near the Earth’s surface has risen a little less then 1° Celsius (0.74 ± 0.18°C, or 1.3 ± 0.32° Fahrenheit). Most of the observed temperature increase was caused by increasing concentrations of greenhouse gases resulting from human activity such as fossil fuel burning, deforestation, and raging forest fires.

Our planet is changing rapidly and we have to do something as soon as possible. But, what can we do? Can we prevent global warming? Can it be solved suddenly? Does earth will repair itself automatically? What will be the effects or side effects of Global Warming? There are lots of questions in our mind regarding the hot issues of the green and the wonderful planet. Where there is a living thing in whole universe, we have heard from the globe that there is a possibility of living thing in another planet(s) but we are not sure about that. So, do we keep living like this? What we are doing in day to day life? How much your or mine contribution in the global warming, and several issues?

There are several such kinds of issues which need immediate attention:

1. Global warming.
2. Green House Effect.
3. Population.
4. Pollution.
Etc…

Let’s begin to discuss and share knowledge to prevent such things and apply it in our day to day life. We can do it and we have to do it. Letter or sooner we have to change. But, which thing we need to change that is what we have to discuss over here.

<img width='1' height='1'
